The Brevard Community Band is a non-profit organization that encourages participation for membership, volunteers, and audiences alike.
We encourage member participation that maintains the quality of performance our members and audiences have come to expect. 

We welcome new members to the Brevard Community Band through the following process:

1.  If you are interested in joining the Brevard Community Band, please visit our website, brevardcommunityband.org, or our Facebook page to learn about our musical and community activities, our rehearsal and concert schedule, and our history.

2.  Send the following information to: P. O. Box 1911 Brevard, NC 28712.

3.  Please include …
   • Your full name
   • Your contact information
   • Your primary instrument and any secondary instruments you play
   • A brief resumé of your experience in band or orchestra. (If you have had prior experience performing in a band or orchestra, you may be an excellent candidate, even if some time has lapsed since you last played with a group.)

4.  Our Conductor will invite you to “sit in” with the band and play for a rehearsal so that both you and our conductor can decide whether this is a good “fit.”

5.  Before your arrival, the Board will inform our librarian and section leader so we ensure that seating, music, and introductions are set for your arrival.

6.   Our Conductor will make the final call for inviting you to participate as regular new members of the Brevard Community Band.
